The resort provides an economical motorcoach service from the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport (SJU) in San Juan. The cost is $74.00 roundtrip per adult and $54.00 roundtrip per child 12 years old and under (note: PR tax of 7% is additional). Prices are subject to change without notice and are subject to applicable taxes.

Is the motorcoach service available for all arrival times?
Our airport staff is available in the baggage claim area to facilitate your arrival to the resort at all times provided we have your flight information.
Do I need to purchase tickets for the airport transfers or make reservations in advance?
You do not need to purchase tickets for the motorcoach as the charge will be applied directly to your room bill. Please provide us with your flight information (Airline, Flight Numbers and Arrival/Departure Times) in advance by calling our Resort Concierge at 787.863.1000 .
Where do I catch the motorcoach?
Greeters are located outside the baggage claim areas holding El Conquistador signs and our motorcoach boarding location is between terminals B & C on the arrival level.
What times does the motorcoach depart the resort to return to the airport?
Our motorcoach service departs the resort (El Conquistador's Main Arrival Plaza) every two hours between 5 A.M. and 5 P.M from Monday - Sunday. We recommend departing the resort no later than 3 hours prior to your scheduled flight time due to the time of transfer and flight check in, USDA inspection and Security Inspection at the airport.
Do I need to make departure reservations for the motorcoach?
We recommend securing reservations with our resort Concierge no later than 24 hours prior to your resort departure time in order to provide adequate seating on the motorcoach.
Are rental cars available on site?
Yes, there is an Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental desk in our hotel lobby adjacent to the Concierge. Their hours of operation are Monday - Sunday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (12:00pm to 1:00pm closed for Lunch). Please call 787.863.1000 x 7015 for additional information or for reservations . Do I need a passport?
For US citizens, a passport is not required to travel to Puerto Rico, however it may be required if you are taking a cruise to other Caribbean Islands prior to or after your stay here at El Conquistador and Las Casitas Village. If you are a citizen of a country other than the United States a passport is required. For more information please visit the U.S Department of State Travel Website.
Will my cell phone work in Puerto Rico?
Puerto Rico uses the same area code system as North American and the Caribbean. Cell phone signals include AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and local providers. If you use another service you may need to place your cellular on roam to access the signal. Please verify with your cellular service provider for coverage areas.
Hotel Check-in and Check-out Times
Hotel registration begins at 4 P.M. and check out time is 11 A.M. Early arrivals will be accommodated based upon availability. Late departures will be extended by the Front Desk based upon availability on the date of departure only and may incur a late departure fee.
What are the applicable Taxes and is there a Resort Tariff?
In addition to your room rate, all rooms are subject to a daily 16% resort fee and 9% tax (applicable on the room rate and resort fee) which will appear on your final bill. The resort tariff includes: access to our private Palomino Island & beach, high-speed catamaran ferry services to/from our private island, Las Brisas Promenade Fitness Center, pool service, weekly resort activities including our latest adventure - Scout About, Wi-Fi internet access in public areas and in guestrooms and unlimited local & 800# phone calls.
Goods and services are subject to a 7% sales tax.
Banquet events/functions are subject to a 22% service charge and applicable taxes.
Do you have AAA, AARP or Government discounts?
Discounted rates are subject to availability. You may check availability by calling our Reservations Department, 866.317.8932, or visiting our websites. To check for availability through the website, select the Reservations link from the Main Page and then select the Special/Promo link at the bottom of the page and appropriate discount category. Proper identification required at the time of check in or prevailing rate will apply.
Do you have travel industry rates?
Travel industry rates are subject to availability. You may check availability by calling our Reservations Department, 866.317.8932. Proper identification required at the time of check in: IATA card or valid Hospitality Associate ID or prevailing rate will apply.
Am I eligible for Tax Exemption?
In order to be eligible for tax exemption in Puerto Rico, you must file a request with the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. You must be traveling on official government business and be able to present at check-in the PR Tourism Company letter of certification, or government orders, valid Government ID, and be paying with a business credit card in the name of the organization on work orders. Advance notice is required by the tourism office to process your request. You may contact the PR Tourism office at 787.721-3181 or 787.721.3181.
Discounts such as AAA, AARP, and Government rates cannot be combined with other promotional discounts, packages, or group or convention rates.

Is there Shopping available at the resort or nearby?
We do have shops throughout our property including souvenir shops, clothing shops, a pro shop, a spa boutique, signature shops and jewelry shops. You may also be interested in taking a shopping tour to the Old San Juan area. Please contact our Concierge for assistance with tour reservations or information at 787.863.1000.
Our Tour Desk is adjacent to our Concierge desk in the main lobby and boast many exciting activities including both marine activities and island tours such as snorkel trips, deep sea fishing, light tackle fishing, Old San Juan historical or shopping tours, tours of El Yunque Rainforest, sunset sails and bioluminescent kayak trips. Is there a children's program or activity center?
El Conquistador's Camp Coqui is an exciting club for children, designed so that both parents and kids have a great time while staying at El Conquistador. Camp Coqui offers numerous recreational and educational activities for children ages 4-12. Kids will experience a variety of fun-filled activities including kayaking over coral reefs, snorkeling, sand sculpting, nature walks, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, and much more. All activities take place under the watchful eyes of carefully selected counselors, allowing children to make friends in a safe and friendly environment. Is Internet access available?
The resort now offers Wi-Fi internet access in all of our guestrooms, public areas, pools, meeting rooms*. Wi-Fi internet access is available in public areas and in guestrooms is included in the resort fee (excluding meeting rooms). The Business Center has computers with internet service available for a $7.50** for 15 minutes.

We do recommend reservations in advance to guarantee availability of your preferred seating times and dining options, especially during holiday periods. Some of our dining options include Chops Steakhouse (steakhouse), La Piccola Fontana (Italian cuisine) Otellos (Northern Italian cuisine), Stingray (with the freshest seafood selections), and Blossoms (Teppanyaki and Chinese featuring a sushi bar). Is there a resort or restaurant dress code?
The resort requests resort casual attire during the day time. We request cover-ups be worn over bathing suits in all public areas to maintain a family friendly ambiance.
To help us maintain the ideal ambiance, we suggest that, in the evening, gentlemen wear slacks or dress shorts and shirts with collars while in the resort restaurants and lounges. For the ladies, we suggest skirts, dresses, or pant suits.
Do you have a spa and how do I make appointments?

The resort has a new Fitness Center available to guests free of charge from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M*. located on the Promenade Level. This fitness center features treadmills, bikes, elliptical machines, smith machine, cable machine with over 100 lbs, free weights, and more. All of our electronic machines feature touch screens and iPod/TV connectivity.
The Fitness Center at the Waldorf Astoria Spa is open from 7A.M. - 7P.M*. A daily fee of $25.00 includes use of the Vitality Level, classes available at the Movement Studio and use of the Niwa facilities. The Niwas offer the signature O-furo bath, steam rooms, showers and relaxation lounges including the Waldorf Astoria Tea Room. Daily membership fees are waived with the purchase of services. The minimum age for all Spa guests is 18. The Fitness Center at the Waldorf Astoria Spa features Cybex treadmills, recumbent bikes, elliptical trainers, smith machine, Schwinn spinner bike, Reebok equipment, and much more. A selection of our equipment features disposable headsets and TVs for personal viewing or integrated TV screens. The Fitness Center at the Waldorf Astoria Spa also features personal trainers and fitness services ranging from Nutritional Counseling and Body Composition Analysis to our Stay-Zen Package.

How do I make golf starting time reservations?
Our Golf and Tennis shop is open from 6:30A.M.-6P.M. We accept one advance reservation over the phone at 787.863.6784. Multiple reservations may be requested in writing via email at ECLCGolf@LuxuryResorts.com or by fax 787.863.6784 and must be guaranteed by major credit card. Notice of cancellation or reduction in players must be received 72 hours in advance of scheduled starting time, or reservation is subject to penalty.

Do you have Tennis Courts available?
Yes, we offer 4 Clay Courts and 3 Hard courts. Our tennis courts are available for reservations from 7am-sunset*. Rental rackets are available for $15/per premium racket*. Our tennis professionals offer "Stroke of the Day" Clinics Monday - Friday for $35*/person (reservations required). Private instruction is $60 for 1/2 hour and $110* for 1 hour. A personalized experience awaits you in the newest addition to El Conquistador Resort- Coqui Water Park (open daily 9:30am - 6:00pm); Due to high demand and limited exclusive seating and space, we will be offering tickets for sale to Resort Guests for a nominal fee. Included in the price of admission are inner tubes, pool towels, and luxury lounge chairs. Also included is endless Water Entertainment in the Most Exclusive Water Park Destination in the Caribbean .
Ticket Pricing is as Follows
Tickets will be available through the Concierge Desk, Marina Activities and Ticket Center , and be available on-line. There will be special room packages available which include Water Park Tickets. Those packages will indicate that they include tickets. Guests on all other packages must purchase individual tickets to the water park

What pools do you have and are towels available?
El Conquistador features 4 pools including three at the main pool complex (the Activity Pool, the Lap Pool and the North Pool and Splash Bar) and one in Las Olas Village . All pools have towel service and loungers. Las Casitas offers three pools for guests registered in Las Casitas.
Do you have a beach and is there a cost?
Visit your own private paradise, Palomino Island, complete with beach chairs and towels with only a short ride (8 minutes) in one of our brand new catamarans . Additional services include beach service, water sports, casual dining and horseback riding (first come, first served). Our water taxis depart the marina every half hour beginning at 9 A.M*. with the last outbound water taxi at 3 P.M. The final return trip of the day leaves Palomino Island at 5:30 P.M. (Schedule subject to change.) We abide by Coast Guard restrictions for your safety and occasionally close as necessary during storms or rough seas. There is not a daily fee to access Palomino Island, however, a resort tariff is applied to your room account (see Taxes and Tariff for additional information.)

The resort has both motorized (wave runners, Banana Boat rides, etc) and non-motorized (kayaks, windsurf equipment and snorkel gear) equipment available for your entertainment. Our rates for the motorized water sports begin at Wave Runners at $70.00* for half hour and $110.00* for the full hour, Banana Boat Rides at $17.00* per person for a 15 minute ride.
Snorkeling equipment and scuba diving tours are available through the Casa Del Mar Dive Shop. Stop by the shop located in La Marina Village or contact them to schedule your tour.
